I’ll be honest, Revlon just doesn’t excite me. With the competition of innovative products and new brands appearing constantly, many of the OG drugstore makeup brands can fall short. But, one day I was on my lunch break at work and ran to the nearest grocery store for some food. I always checked the clearance section because I’m a sucker for a good deal. Well it turned out to be my lucky day because there was a plethora of makeup on clearance. Everything was 50 cents, so you know I bought practically everything. I ended up grabbing a few of these lipsticks, because you can never have enough lipsticks. I honestly didn’t have very high exceptions since it was just a bullet lipstick, but I was immediately blown away by this formula. This product offers an 8 hour wear time with zero transfer in a velvety matte formula. There are a variety of shades from vivid purples, to sultry reds, and even some beautiful mauves. The bullet of the lipstick is perfectly shaped for quick application and eliminating the need for a lipliner. The color stays on throughout eating and drinking. However, I like to reapply it every few hours to maintain its bold color. Although it is a matte formula, it does not dry out the lips. The reason for this is because vitamin E is the key ingredient. I haven’t been this pleased with a lipstick formula in a long time. The next time you're on a grocery run, I definitely recommend adding this to your cart. You won’t be disappointed.

I love trying new foundations, but I’ve got some high standards. It has to be medium to full coverage. It can’t be so glowy that I look greasy and it can’t be so matte that it cakes. I also love something that looks and feels undetectable on the skin. During one of my first shifts at Sephora, I spent HOURS trying to find the perfect foundation. Some had the perfect finish, but didn’t have a shade that worked for me. Others I could find my shade no problem, but the coverage wasn’t there. I had almost lost all hope until I saw the Kosas foundation on a Clean At Sephora endcap. I hadn’t heard of the brand besides during our trainings. But I decided to give it a try and was blown away at how amazing it was. This foundation is medium coverage (but can be built up), has SPF 25, with a lightweight, natural finish. I was a bit surprised when I saw there was sunscreen in this high coverage foundation because if you add a zinc oxide SPF with foundation, it usually breaks down the pigments, lessening the coverage of the product. But, since Kosas foundation is made with mineral sunscreen (which is also reef safe, yay!) It can maintain its coverage and color! This product also has powerhouse skincare ingredients like squalene, hyaluronic acid, niacinimide which work together to hydrate and give the skin a healthy glow. Along with all of these wonderful factors, the wear is incredible. I’ve been rocking this in the 105 Kansas heat during an 8 hour retail shift and she doesn’t move, crease, or cake. Which is insanely impressive to me. I love to set this product with the Kosas Cloud Set powder for a flawless, blurred look. I used to think clean makeup was synonymous with not performing, but that is not the case here. Kosas definitely knocked it out of the park with this one. No matter what age, skin type, or ethnicity you are, I promise you will love this foundation!

The one thing that has forever improved my dry skin is a facial oil. A couple times a week after cleansing and toning, I like to go in with a few drops of an oil to help deeply nourish my skin. Although it can be a bit messy and even get in my hair, I always wake up with a healthy glow. I’ve been loyal to the Pixi Rose oil for years now. But since working at Sephora I thought it was time to branch out and try something new. For me, I like an oil with a thicker consistency. When it has a runny texture it doesn’t seem to sink into my skin as well. After trying almost every oil in the store I finally found one I loved (and that was under $60). Farmacy is known for its best-selling Honey Halo face moisturizer as well as its Green Clean cleansing balm. According to their website their mission is cultivate conscious beauty while using responsible, farm-sourced ingredients. They are also Clean at Sephora and Leaping Bunny certified, making them sustainable, clean, and cruelty free. The key player in this product (and several other Faramacy items) is honey. Honey is a powerful, yet gentle, component in a lot of skincare because of its soothing and nourishing qualities. It’s also packed with several vitamins and antioxidants to give you that gorgeous glow from the inside out! Another fun thing about this oil is that you can use it in your hair to increase shine. Overall, I’m obsessed with this product! I know $48 may seem a bit pricey but considering how clean the oil is and how well it works, I don’t mind treating my skin to something luxurious!
