The one thing that has forever improved my dry skin is a facial oil. A couple times a week after cleansing and toning, I like to go in with a few drops of an oil to help deeply nourish my skin. Although it can be a bit messy and even get in my hair, I always wake up with a healthy glow. I’ve been loyal to the Pixi Rose oil for years now. But since working at Sephora I thought it was time to branch out and try something new. For me, I like an oil with a thicker consistency. When it has a runny texture it doesn’t seem to sink into my skin as well. After trying almost every oil in the store I finally found one I loved (and that was under $60). Farmacy is known for its best-selling Honey Halo face moisturizer as well as its Green Clean cleansing balm. According to their website their mission is cultivate conscious beauty while using responsible, farm-sourced ingredients. They are also Clean at Sephora and Leaping Bunny certified, making them sustainable, clean, and cruelty free. The key player in this product (and several other Faramacy items) is honey. Honey is a powerful, yet gentle, component in a lot of skincare because of its soothing and nourishing qualities. It’s also packed with several vitamins and antioxidants to give you that gorgeous glow from the inside out! Another fun thing about this oil is that you can use it in your hair to increase shine. Overall, I’m obsessed with this product! I know $48 may seem a bit pricey but considering how clean the oil is and how well it works, I don’t mind treating my skin to something luxurious!

In recent years there’s been a growing trend in the beauty space to create more clean and cruelty free products. Several brands are cutting out unnecessary ingredients like fragrance and alcohol and even creating packaging using recycled materials. In fact, there’s actually a whole sub-category at Sephora called “Clean at Sephora.” This line is made entirely without phthalates, formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasers, oxybenzone, and octinoxate, and more. One of the most popular clean beauty lines at Sephora is Ilia. Ili’s founder Sasha has always had a passion for nature and beauty. But dissecting the ingredients in her favorite lip balm she was seriously concerned about what was being put into products. So she created something better, safer, and makeup that actually worked. Ilia is made formulated without gluten, parabens, phthalates, petroleum, mineral oil, talc, BHA/BHT, propylene glycol, PEG, cyclomethicones, and chemical screens. Not only that, but their packaging is also eco-friendly! All of their items are made from recycled aluminum, glass components, and responsibly sourced paper. They are truly doing the most to help our skin and the planet! If I’m doing a full glam look, false lashes are a must! But if I don’t have much time for makeup, mascara, eyeliner, and brows are my go to. And this mascara will make even the smallest eyelashes look long and luscious. The unique wand has two sides. A longer side for top lashes and a shorter side for those baby bottom lashes. The spikes on the wand are evenly separated to ensure your lashes don’t get clumpy but are still lengthened. The formula is made keratin which helps fortify and strengthen lashes and shea butter to condition. It is also long wearing, flake free, and won’t smudge through the day. If you are on the hunt for a clean, natural, lengthening mascara I highly recommend this one. You won’t be disappointed.

Catrice face products are the unsung hero of the beauty world. I honestly would have never tried this brand if Tati hadn’t reviewed it. Their star product was the True Skin Hydrating foundation. People were shocked how full coverage yet hydrating it was. Not to mention the incredible price point. So of course, Catrice had to follow this up with a concealer. This product has an 18 hour wear time with a lightweight texture and natural finish. The concealer is made with hyaluronic acid which deeply hydrates the skin without creasing or caking. As of now, there are only 14 shades which is simply not enough. Hopefully in the future they will expand their shade range. What I like most about this product is the diamond shaped applicator. The pointed tip perfectly gets into the inner corner. When using this concealer, I recommend doing one section at a time then setting the product in place because this stuff dries down FAST. I love the buildable coverage it has and it’s especially great if you’re on a tight budget. I’ve worn this during intense summer workouts and it didn’t budge. Overall, this is a pretty impressive product. I think if they can fix how quickly it dries down and the shoddy shade range then this could be a real winner! If you can’t afford the Tarte Shape Tape, this would be a great dupe!
