I'm honestly quite surprised that it took Anastasia this long to release an eye shadow primer since they have some of the best palettes on the market. But, better late than never right? The thing I do really about appreciate about ABH (Anastasia Beverly Hills) is the fact that they really take the time to perfect their products before launching. They don't do new product overloads with sub-par items, they make sure this is something their consumers want and will use too. To start, this primer comes in two sizes. The one pictured above is the travel size which is $13.00 and is 0.24 fl oz and the full size is $23.00 and is 0.5 fl oz. I have always just used the Urban Decay Primer Potion and haven't really branched out when it comes to shadow primers, but after hearing rave reviews from my coworkers I knew I had to see for myself. Now with this bad boy, a little goes a LONG way. I cannot stress that enough so you don't waste the product. I tend to use a grain of rice sized amount, but, if you have bigger eyelids a pea sized amount is all you need. The packaging on the tube is so classy and very on brand. This product is not only vegan but it is also completely water proof. Which mean, your eye shadow isn't coming off unless you use an oil based makeup remover. Using a good shadow primer really extends the life of your shadows, prevents creasing on the lids, and make pigments more bright. Since there isn't an applicator on this, I like to do a small amount on my fingers and tap it across my eyelids then blend it out with a beauty sponge. For the best results, I like to go in with a white or nude shadow to set the primer in place. I really think this primer is a game changer and I can't wait to see what they release next!
