A few months ago, I got a bad sunburn on my lips which made them incredibly dry, chapped, and ended up bleeding too. Everything I was already using like Eos and Burt's Bees only made matters worse. I thought maybe I would try something different... I had never tried a lip oil before and it seemed like it could give me more moisture than a balm could. I'm not exaggerating when I say I hated everything about this product. The oil itself isn't thick or moisturizing at all. It is actually very thin and runny and burned my lips upon application. After letting the oil sit for a few minutes I expected my lips to start to heal, but it made them even more dry than before. The almond scent in this is also very powerful which could factor into why it burned when I applied the oil. And finally, the packaging is awful. The dropper only fills a quarter of the way full and the bottle leaks very bad causing oil to get everywhere. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If you are looking for something to help heal those chapped lips, I suggest the product Lanolips or Baby Lips by Maybelline.
