Surprisingly, I have never tried anything from Clinique. Growing up in the early 2000's some of the only decent makeup brands were Lancome, MAC, Estee Lauder, and Clinique. But, Clinique is now a household name for many makeup lovers because of it's iconic, award winning products. We had an extra discount at Ulta on the brand, so I chose to get some key products and see if they were worth all the hype. All my customers and coworkers RAVED about their Take The Day Off Balm. It comes in a variety of sizes so you can somewhat try before you buy it. This is the first balm remover I had every tried. It has a very unique texture. The way I tend to use this product is to scrape a pea sized amount in the palm of my hand. It will feel like a thick, heavy balm until you warm it up in your hands then it turns into a soft, silky cream. I then rub the product all over my face. You can immediately see your makeup melting right off your face. My big issue with this balm is it is difficult to remove eye makeup completely. Also, mascara tends to flake off and can go into your eyes. I always notice when I use this in my eye area my vision gets very blurry and I even have trouble seeing for a minute. Which is not ideal. I have very sensitive eyes, so that may be why, but I still this product with caution. I just prefer regular makeup wipes. I feel like they get the job done quicker and easier. I also notice wipes usually take off much more makeup than the balm will. This is an interesting product and it does work, I just don't prefer it.
