Colourpop is an emerging, all American, cruelty free brand famous for their low prices and high quality items. But, the product that first put them on the map was their original super shock shadows. The creator of Colourpop wondered if they could create a $6.00 eye shadow that people would actually buy as opposed to a $50.00 palette. And they did. Their super shock shadows put Colourpop on the map. This single shadow delivers a bouncy, pigmented color. The super shock shadows are a unique cream to powder formula. They feel soft to the touch at first, but when blended they are completely a powder. The matte and satin super shock shadows are AMAZING!! The only ones I have issues with are the shadows with lots of glitter, sometimes the pigment can get lost within the glitter and the payoff isn't as good as it should be. Colourpop has a few key tricks for how to work with this unique product. They suggest using a flat or densely packed brush to apply a satin or matte shadow. When it comes to glitter or shimmer shades they say to simply use your fingers. This method will provide the highest amount of color payoff. Another Colourpop tip is to TIGHTLY seal the container together when done. This ensures that the special formula stays bouncy and doesn't dry out. These are not my favorite eye shadow formula, but I do think they are a great learning product for beginners or teens. They're also nice to throw in your bag when you can't pack an entire palette!
