If we're being honest here, I never buy Covergirl makeup. The brand as a whole isn't appealing and its a bit too old school for me. But, when I saw that the brand was becoming cruelty free, being more inclusive, and changing packaging I became interested. While doing a CVS run, I saw this foundation and was curious how it would preform. I honestly have never tried a WORSE product. I tried this product with a variety of primers and powders to see if there would be a difference in how it looked, but it looked horrible each time. Whether it was pump or four pumps of product, this foundation didn't cover my skin at all. It seriously took around thirty minutes to dry down completely, which I think is unacceptable. It also broke up on random places on my face despite setting it with powder. As if the makeup itself wasn't bad enough, their shade range is atrocious. I chose the lightest shade they had and it was still 5 shades too dark for me. Even though they have a variety of darker shades, their lighter shades were quite limited. Another interesting thing I found is when looking up this product on Covergirl's website, you can't directly buy from their site. You can purchase from Ulta.com or Target.com, but not their own site, which was very strange to me. I feel like covergirl needs to work on the actual quality of their products before changing other factors first. In the end, that is how their brand will grow, not just marketing.
