Dermalogica was founded in 1986 by Jane Wurwand, one of the most famous names when it comes to skincare. Since creating the brand in 1986, Dermalogica is one of the top leading professional skin care brands used by over 100,000 skin therapists in over 100 countries world wide. Their products have always been free of artificial colors and fragrances, lanolin, alcohol, and parabens. Not to mention, they are also vegan, cruelty free, and gluten free. Dermalogica is also a brand that is supported by the International Dermal Institute. Dermalogica is also the brand used by skin therapists in all Ulta stores (which is how I was introduced to it). This cleanser is described as "a gentle cleansing gel for reactive skin." Which is just a fancy way of saying this is a product for skin that can be easily irritated. This cleanser is actually pH balanced so it literally helps to calm skin down. It is non greasy and non foaming as well. It has the lightest scent of lavender which makes you feel like you're in the spa while doing your skincare routine. The price is a big hefty, but fair considering it is a high end skincare brand (and you get over 8oz of product). I initially bought this because my skin was breaking out and becoming irritated by wearing masks all day. I knew I needed something powerful yet sensitive. This was surprisingly my first time using a Dermalogica product outside of the spa. But, sadly, I saw no results or improvements in my skin over the span of using the whole bottle. My acne was still there and my skin was still irritated. Yes, it did effectively clean my skin, but I saw no improvements. I loved the smell and the texture of this product. But, I will not be repurchasing it. I didn't hate this product yet I didn't love it either. Dermalogica is an amazing brand, but this just isn't for me.
