After being so impressed with the facial spray from Florence by Mills, I decided to try another product from the line. This is their facial moisturizer with blue light protection. Blue light is the light that radiates off of our electronic devices likes our phones, tablets, TVs, and computers. Too much of this light can be detrimental to skin as it can cause premature aging and other damage to the skins barrier. This isn't an entirely "unique" concept, but blue light protection products are still fairly new in the industry. I find this idea very creative and it can be a great product if its done right. Unfortunately, I feel like this moisturizer missed the mark. To start, the pump on this bottle is horrible. I'm not sure if it's getting clogged or if it's broken, but you have to pump at least 6 times before any product even comes out. This is a manufacturer issue and can be easily be fixed, but it's still pretty annoying. The overall consistency of the moisturizer is actually quite nice. It's a lightweight, watery gel texture. Which I prefer more versus a thick cream. It also keeps the skin nicely hydrated through the day too. However, my biggest issue with this product is when it dries down, it balls up. If you rub your face, the moisturizer will actually peel off. I tried to wear it under a full face of makeup one day and that was a complete disaster. Every time I blended out my foundation or concealer, all of my moisturizer would peel up and just vanish. When it comes to moisturizers, this is my biggest pet peeve. There are much better moisturizers than this, even at the drugstore. It isn't the worst one I've ever used, but I really can't handle how badly it balls up, especially with how much makeup I wear. This is a pass from me, but just because one product is a flop, doesn't mean the whole brand is. I'm going to try a few more products from the line before I give my final thoughts on the brands performance.
