Hourglass is one of the best selling luxury cosmetics lines on the market. Its products are loved by influencers like Tati, Jeffree Star, and Kathleen Lights. I've always heard people rave about how beautiful their products are, but to be honest, they just never caught my eye. Not to mention, how insanely expensive their products are. To be completely transparent, I actually received this for free from work. I'm a broke college student who can barely afford lunch, let alone a $48 setting spray. Aside from that, let's get into this review. Last year, this setting spray won the Allure Best of Beauty Award (one of the most prestigious awards in the industry). The Veil setting spray that claims to set makeup in place for up to 24 hours giving a blurred and radiant finish. This spray is made without; gluten, soy, silicone, parabens, dye, talc, oil, fragrances, and dye. The aerosol canister keeps the mist condensed and fresh. However, this is not a continuous mist spray like I had hoped for. But, on the bright side, the mist is so fine on this product that you don't even feel it on the skin. After reading reviews on this setting spray, I had very high hopes. I assumed it was a luxury version of the iconic Morphe setting spray, but sadly the Morphe one is still better and at a FRACTION of the cost. I appreciated that this product was fragrance free and the super fine mist, but that's about all that I enjoyed from this product. Most setting sprays, it's recommended to hold the bottle 3-6 inches away from the as you spray. But, with this product having such a light mister, you literally have to hold it less than an inch away. And still, barely any product is distributed. You have to do at least 3 layers to even feel a difference on the skin. Which, at that point, it's such a waste of product. I can't comment on how I like the formula because I don't feel like there is a difference. My foundation was also sliding around after only 5 hours of being on, whereas with my Morphe setting spray it won't come off until I take it off. I get that Hourglass isn't a "full coverage" type of brand, but at this price point, I need to see some sort of results. I feel like there are way cheaper and better products on the market that offer similar benefits. I say, save your money because this isn't worth almost $50.
