Before KVD's recent "rebrand" it was formerly known as Kat Von D beauty. Kat Von D is a famous tattoo artist from California. You may also recognize her from the TLC tv show "LA Ink." Many tattoo artists also have other creative outlets too. Kat was a huge fan of makeup, famous for her bold lips and dramatic winged liner. Several years ago Kat started Kat Von D beauty. The brand was sold exclusively at Sephora. But, earlier this year, Kat made the decision to sell the company (now known as KVD Vegan Beauty). This rebrand didn't change much except everything is NOW cruelty free and vegan and it recently is sold in Ulta along with Sephora. The product line has remained the same great quality and products. My favorite item from the line (besides the Shade and Light palette) is definitely the eyeliners. They have two ink pen options to choose from. The Tattoo Liner which has a pointed brush shape tip and the Ink liner which has a classic felt tip. Both are incredible products, but I personally prefer the Tattoo Liner. This eyeliner award winning AND their best selling product. The ink is opaque and dries down matte black. The formula is 100% vegan and cruelty free. I am usually not a fan of brush tip eyeliners, but this one is a game changer. The brush tip is small and pointed that way you can guarantee to have a sharp, precise line. This liner reminds me a lot of the Better Than Sex liner, but this one lasts much longer. To ensure maximum color payoff, make sure to give this a good shake before using. Also, be careful when putting the cap on so that you don't fray the brush hairs. This liner is perfect for both liner beginners and seasoned pros. This is for sure my new go to eyeliner!
