Wow, my first Kylie Cosmetics product. I feel like a proud mom. I have been a fan of the Kardashian's for as long as I can remember, but I especially always clicked with Kylie. I always appreciated how she wanted to stand out and create her own life for herself. Creating her business made her the youngest billionaire according to Forbes magazine. Say and think what you want about the family, but they know business. I always hesitated buying her products online because I love to be able to play and know the consistency before purchasing. So when we finally got Kylie at Ulta, it was a perfect opportunity. I was never blown away by her eye shadows and I don't usually splurge on lip sticks so I wanted to try something else by her. Recently, Ulta has launched her setting powders and concealers. I thought I would give this one a go because the price point and product size were both reasonable and I only have one other setting powder I love. To start, the packaging is just adorable. She always does wonderful with branding and packaging. The baby pink make the product very light and fun. When you open the product you have to peel back a plastic seal to release the powder. The holes for the powder are small and oval shaped which can sometimes make this product hard to get out. The first few times I used this, I did have quite a hard time getting the amount of powder I needed out. But, I have been shaking the product with the lid on and then opening it to have the perfect amount every time. This powder lays beautifully on the skin. It can feel a little dry, so be sure and deeply moisturize before you apply your makeup. And, if you have especially dry skin like me, go in with a hydrating primer before foundation to ensure you don't dry up. When baking with this, I did notice it balls up a little if your sponge is wet. That however did not effect the application process or move any of my makeup. Let the bake sit for a few minutes, then when you're done baking, go back and brush off with a fluffy powder brush. I went all day without any creasing or cracking in my makeup. I really enjoyed this product and will definitely be trying more from her brand very soon! Stay tuned!
