The makeup industry is always trying to create a new "innovative" and "unique" mascara that hasn't been done yet. But usually 90% of these new creations end up being a gimmick and not working. That's what I initially thought of this product. The Air Volume mascara from L'Oreal claims to give extreme volume with a light as air touch. Usually when mascaras offer "extreme volume" that also means there is extreme clumping involved too. Or that's at least how it is in my experience. However, L'Oreal really changed the game with this one. I was beyond impressed with this product. According to L'Oreal.com, "the Air Volume formula is air whipped to create a lash multiplying effect with more volume that is weightless on lashes. This weightless mega volume and wear locks in for all day wear, lasting up to 24HRS." The cushion like bristles help to catch and coat every lash for a thick and full effect. This mascara is great on its own, but also works wonderfully under false lashes. The weightless formula feels like you have on nothing at all! I also noticed ZERO smudging or flaking while wearing this formula. And that says a lot with the Kansas humidity. Overall, this is a GREAT mascara from the drugstore! I highly recommend it, especially if you are sick of heavy, clumpy lashes. This will become your new holy grail.
