Laura Mercier is famous for flawless, natural, and radiant makeup products. Their world famous loose setting powders have broken records and won awards, not to mention it is one of the top selling prestige powders nationwide. After falling in love with the loose setting powder, I wanted to try more stuff from this brand. I went to their website and checked out more of their bestselling products! I noticed that this foundation won an Allure Best of Beauty Award in 2019 (which is one of the highest awards a product can receive when it comes to makeup.) They have 2 formulas in their flawless foundation line ; the flawless Lumiere (radiant, natural finish) and the flawless fusion (matte, long wearing finish). I decided to go for the more radiant finish because I have so many matte full coverage foundations, I felt it was time to try something new! This product comes in 30 shades with a variety of undertones. It offers 15 hours of hydrated healthy looking skin and is infused with vitamin c to give your skin the extra boost it needs! This foundation is also fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist tested. Reading all these claims, I was very excited about trying this foundation out. But, I was honestly quite disappointed in this product. Their shade range is honestly lacking when it comes to representation of darker skin tones. It's 2020 for heaven's sake, it's time to step it up a notch! I did love the finish and how glowy it made my skin look, but unfortunately the foundation began to separate with an hour of wearing it. I have tried setting MANY different ways. I have tried different primers, different powders, and different setting sprays. But sadly nothing could hold this product together. I didn't expect it to last through an 8 hour work shift while wearing a mask, but I certainly thought it would last longer than an hour! Another thing I disliked about this product is the pump. You get one tinyyyy pin point sized amount of product when pumping it out. I tried to clean and fix the pump and the same thing continued to happen. I'm not sure if I just got a bad bottle but to get a full face of product, I have to pump it nearly 20 times! At that point, I feel like I'm just wasting product. Not to mention, this bad boy is a whopping $48! I luckily snagged it on the clearance shelf, but I would NEVER pay that amount for a product that performs so poorly. In conclusion, I was quite disappointed in this foundation. There are so so many other better products on the market that perform much better for much less!
