We all know I love trying new makeup, but I especially love trying foundations and concealers. Every one is so different. It's fascinating to me to see how long they wear, the consistency, and the coverage they provide. I've heard several influencers rave about this concealer from Laura Mercier. It claims to have 12 hours of crease proof wear that hydrates and blurs. But, I have to disagree with all of that. In my opinion, this is one of the WORST concealers I have ever tried. It made my under eyes look worse than before. It enhanced the look of my bags, felt extremely cakey, and heavily creased. Not to mention, they only have 12 shades. Such an established brand like Laura Mercier NEEDS to have a wider shade range than that. The applicator is also not ideal. It doesn't do a great job of picking up product so I had to constantly grab more before I could even finish an area. At that point, the concealer was already dried and I basically had to start over. I'm not sure if I got a bad bottle or if this is a product that is better suited for oily skin, but it simply did not work for me. The price is also wayyy too high for its poor performance. I suggest sticking with the Tarte Shape Tape which is $3 cheaper and works great with every skin type!
