Ever since Laura Mercier released her iconic setting powder, makeup junkies have been hooked. Setting powders can help to keep excess oils at bay, brighten your face, and keep foundation from sliding around or getting greasy. This powder comes in a variety of 10 shades, perfect for every skin tone. Many people rave about how inexpensive and beautiful this product is, but, I have to disagree. First of all, the powder is somewhat hard to get out of the package. Most setting powders have a large cap that you can gently tap out the powder onto where you can then pick it up perfectly with a brush or sponge. This one however, is in a plastic, squeezable package where the only way to truly get the powder out is to squeeze, which ends up blowing the powder everywhere and ends up wasting product faster. The cap is also too small to pour any product into, which is a con for me. The powder also separates your foundation within just a couple hours. The only reasons I would recommend this product to someone is because of the large shade range and low price. It can set your makeup, but only for a few hours. If you are looking for a more reliable, cheap powder, I would reach for Maybelline Fit Me or Covergirl loose setting powder.
