Mario Badescu is famous for their hydrating facial mists, but another product fans can't stop talking about is their drying lotion. This spot treatment is made with sulfur, salicylic acid, and zinc oxide to get rid of gunk hiding in pimples. When you first glance at the bottle, you may have the urge to shake it because the pink powder is just sitting on the bottom. But, you shouldn't as this product works in two phases. The directions say to simply get a cotton swab and dip it down in the pink sediment and lift up through the clear liquid. After pulling the swab out, it will be ready to apply onto the pimple. Apply overnight topically to clean skin to clear out pimples. This ensures that you get BOTH layers of ingredients in an even amount. This lotion is incredibly popular because it actually works. The other day I had a nasty zit on my chin that just wouldn't disappear no matter how much I tried to get rid of it. The blemish became irritated because of how much I was squeezing it. I had this product in my cabinet but had never actually tried it. I decided to give it a go and I was impressed by the results. The next morning the pimple that I couldn't get to go away had fully vanished. There wasn't even a red spot left. The drying lotion had completely sucked up all gross goo! The only thing that I disliked about this product is how strong the alcohol smell was. I mean, it makes sense because the first ingredient is isopropyl alcohol, which is safe for skin in very small doses. But, oh my, it really made my eyes water! However, within a few minutes the smell vanished. This spot treatment is an absolute game changer for those who struggle with acne. It's also safe for sensitive skin. I'm excited by how well this worked and I will for sure be using it again!
