For YEARS, people had always raved about how amazing this concealer was. But, I was still stuck in my Tarte Shape Tape era. However, the price has slowly raised and now that I live on my own, $31 is just a lot to continually spend on a little concealer. So, I decided to do some research on what the best drugstore concealer is. Although the drugstore has certainly stepped up their game, this iconic product has been a winner for a long time. What makes this item unique is definitely the sponge tip applicator. Some consumers find it annoying, but I actually really like it. The velvety, fluffy rounded sponge helps to perfectly spread and blend in product. You simply twist the red cap and spread the concealer. It also helps me not to overuse product, which is easy to do with the usual wand applicator. But, the formula is certainly one of a kind too. It has up to 12 hour moisturizing wear and crease proof coverage. When I'm in a rush (or oversleep) I can simply do a few swipes of this where it's needed, blend, and go. The formula is self setting which means it doesn't crease or move without powder. Once it's dry, you're left with a radiant, full coverage finish. I have never had a concealer that provided this much coverage and was self setting. Within the past year, Maybelline also created two color correctors with this incredible formula. Light pink for brightening and yellow for neutralizing. Many people will also use darker, cooler shades for contour. The possibilities are truly endless with this product. It's safe to say this is the best drugstore concealer on the market, and for good reason.
