Morphe has been around since 2008. The brand exploded in the beauty industry for it's high quality products with drugstore prices. Ir also gained popularity by partnering with social media influencers like Jaclyn Hill, James Charles, and Jeffree Star. Since launching, the brand is now is hundreds of Ulta stores nationwide as well as having their own storefront in larger cities. Despite the brand's wild success in the industry this is their mascara. Morphe is also no stranger to controversy, which was caused in this launch by supposedly "copying" the packaging design of the KVD Go Big or Go Home mascara. Fans were skeptical if this was a dupe of the popular mascara or if Morphe was just trying to catch peoples attention. After the drama surrounding this launch, I knew I had to see for myself how the product actually performed. For $12, the packaging is very heavy. It feels like a high end, expensive mascara as the component is made of metal. When I saw the photos online of it, it appeared that the bristles on the wand were a soft cluster of fibers (which is what I prefer). But, when I got home and actually opened the product, the wand was made of long plastic bristles. I personally like synthetic fiber wands because they give a more natural, fluffy look to the lashes. The plastic wands can give a spidery look and if the bristles are too long they can poke you in the eyes. Or maybe that's just me being clumsy. This product definitely didn't live up to it's large claims. I noticed ZERO volume or length. I tried this product with and without a mascara primer and noticed no difference. My lashes looked just as sad and short as they do without mascara. The formula is also very runny and watery. It takes several minutes to dry and transfers easily. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in this product. It may be one of the worst mascaras I have tried. There are so many better options at the drugstore that I just can't recommend this one.
