I've probably said this before, but I'll say it again. Jaclyn Hill is one of my favorite beauty influencers. Why? The woman's got drive. I love how she's so positive but is open with her audience about her personal struggles like depression, anxiety, and her health. She admits that though she is very blessed, nothing was ever handed to her. She worked her tail off to get to where she is today. Although she's hit a couple bumps in the road, she never let that stop her. So naturally, I was going to get this palette just because I'm that big of a fan. I honestly didn't even care what it looked like, I just wanted to support the woman and add to my endless palette collection. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was an all neutral palette! Better yet, UNDER $20!! Sometimes, neutral palettes can be hard to create. The color has to be SPOT ON and it also has to been something relatively "unique" so that it doesn't get swept under the rug. Do I think this palette did well mostly because Jaclyn Hill's name is on it? Yes. But, I can also tell by the quality of the shadows and the precise placement of them that Jaclyn and Morphe took a lot of time to create this, and it shows. I'm beyond obsessed with the formula of the matte shades. They're so soft, but not too powdery and blend out like a DREAM. It's also super satisfying that they're arranged from lightest to darkest. The bottom row is all shimmer shades, also arranged from lightest to darkest. The only reason I didn't give this palette a 5 star rating is because the shimmers just weren't bright enough. Even when I applied setting spray on a brush, then went into the shadow, they still weren't shiny enough for me. But, that's just my personal opinion. Overall, I was really impressed with this palette. This is a great product, especially for beginners because it has every shade you would need for both a natural and smokey look without feeling too overwhelming. It's also great for travel because it's so compact and thin!
