Nars' most famous product is obviously their Orgasm blush. It has won several awards and is known for looking beautiful on every skin tone. With the past two years, Nars created another groundbreaking product, their Climax mascara. After seeing how well the mascara did, they launched another mascara called the "Climax Extreme." Since then, they have recently added another launch to the climax family, the climax liquid eyeliner. Yet again, this product vent viral on TikTok. Although it wasn't a sellout item like other trends, it still gained a huge following simply because of influencer reviews. Now, I am VERY picky with liquid eyeliners. There's maybe 3 that I use, everything else just seems obsolete. However, I always get excited to try new eyeliners to see if they will meet my standards. I prefer felt tip liners, but if its a brush tip it has to be very VERY fine. I prefer a "pen" formula versus an ink pot because it's less messy. The liner can't be too liquidy and runny but also can't dry out after 3 uses. After everything I had heard online, I thought the Nars Climax liner would be the perfect addition to my liner arsenal. But, I couldn't have been more wrong. To start, the actual tip of the pen is unique. I think this could be a really innovative product for the beauty community, but it just missed the mark. The tip is flat on one end but when you twist the component, it goes to a thicker, flat tip. This could be ideal for inner corner work as well as sharp lines. Unfortunately, I think the reason the tip doesn't work well is because there is an overflow of ink dispensed. I don't know if I just got a bad liner or if this problem is relevant with the product in general, but when I applied it on my eyes it looked like an ink pot had exploded. There was black, runny ink all over. I quickly wiped off my eyes and tried again, hoping it was a fluke. Yet, the same thing happened. Not only was it too liquidy for my liking, it also took several minutes to dry. If I blinked, it went everywhere. Nothing seemed to go my way and I was becoming really frustrated with this product. Although I tried it again, it just wasn't worth all the hassle. Stila and KVD both make FABULOUS eyeliners that dry down quick but the pen won't dry out. Better yet, they're the same price point as the Nars. I was really disappointed in this product. I hope they fix some issues with this but keep the dual tip because I feel like that could really be a game changer.
