I have been a longtime fan of Origins skincare products, but sadly this one wasn't my favorite. Initially, there are many things that attracted me to this product. I loved the fact it was a light gel moisturizer opposed to a heavy cream. I also loved the idea that it was "energy boosting" with natural ingredients like coffee and ginseng. This product is also formulated without parabens, phalates, and sulfates. Before I mention the things I disliked about this product, let me share the things I loved. The formula was so light on my skin, it felt like I didn't have anything on. The scent is also AMAZING! It smells like essential oils. The all natural smell includes invigorating scents like: grapefruit, lemon, and spearmint to help wake up the skin. The last thing I did enjoy was I really did feel more energized after using this product. After a rough nights sleep, I would wake up, wash my face and apply this. I felt more awake in just minutes. But, sadly there are more things I disliked rather than liked. Initially, the product felt very light. But, after about an hour of having it on, it began to feel oily and heavy. It even began to peel up off the skin. Whenever I would rub or scratch my face I would find little bits of peeled up product on my hands...gross. This issue is especially bad if you are wearing it under makeup. This isn't an awful product, but it just didn't work for me. I'll probably end up keeping it in my cabinet, but there are much better gel moisturizers out there that don't have nearly as many problems.
