Ouai is a brand created by celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin. Jen has done hair for some of the most famous people in the world like the Kardashians, JLO, Gigi & Bella Hadid to name a few. She created Ouai to help her and her clients find a brand that actually works for a variety of hair types. Since the brand's launch, it is now one of the most popular prestige hair brands in the industry. One of their best selling products is the Detox Shampoo. This shampoo helps to clarify and cleanse hair that's bogged down dirt, oils, and product buildup. Its key ingredient is something simple, but effective, apple cider vinegar. This ingredient is known for its detoxifying elements without drying the hair out. Another major ingredient in this formula is keratin, which helps to re bond and revive hair. This product is perfect for those who struggle with oily hair, or only wash once or twice a week. The Detox Shampoo has a light added fragrance of rose which is beyond refreshing without being overwhelming. I have never really tried a detoxifying shampoo before. But, I have been training my hair to go several days without washing (which isn't gross, it's actually very good for your scalp). This is a great way to cleanse the hair without stripping it of its natural oils. My hair never felt dry or brittle after using this, which is a major complaint of most clarifying shampoos. Overall, I highly recommend this product whether you are going days without washing, using tons of product, getting in a chlorine pool consistently, or just have oily hair.
