Unfortunately, the times have changed in 2020 and we now are required to wear masks practically everywhere we go. It's a new normal we will have to get used to for the time being. Wearing a mask all day (especially if it's hot) cuts out the need for most makeup. Instead of a full glam face, I simply now just do concealer, powder, mascara, and my eyebrows (which is practically nothing for me). Wearing lipstick is pretty much obsolete if you are also wearing a mask, but I still enjoy wearing it around the house or if I'm out with friends. Lipstick has the power to completely transform a look. In my opinion, Smashbox has some of the best liquid lipsticks out there. They don't crack or dry your lips out. But, I honestly still prefer a regular lipstick bullet compared to a liquid formula. That's why I was so so excited when Smashbox released this new cream to matte formula. It has the staying power of a liquid lip, but all the silky, comfort of a regular lipstick. Unlike their other lipsticks, this line only has neutral, nude colors. Some brands release a small shade range at first and if the product sells well enough, they will come out with more shades in the future, so that may be what Smashbox is doing. I really love the shape of this lipstick as well. It has a curved edge so it perfectly hugs your lips, eliminating the need for a lip liner! One swipe is all you will need for several hours. The only time it came off is when I ate food. I still saw a slight tint after, but I reapplied anyways. That is true when it comes to most lipsticks though. Although it may not be necessary to buy lipstick right now, I still love this product and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new one!
