I always get a surge of excitement when Tarte releases new products. This one especially caught 6my eye because of its fun, neon pink packaging. Now, when I bought this I didn't take the time to look at the wand on the tester to see what the actual benefits of the mascara were. I honestly thought it would be amazing just because the packaging was cute. When I got home and opened it I was pretty disappointed in what I saw.... the exact same wand as Better Than Sex mascara!! Which is also not a huge favorite mascara of mine. Despite the wand I tried it anyways. I have pretty short little eyelashes so I usually have to do several coats to see any volume or length. I tried 3-4 coats and my lashes looked the EXACT same, only darker. I also tried this trick but with primer under it, sadly, no effect. This is definitely not the worst mascara I've ever tried, but it wasn't as amazing as I had hoped for. If you do enjoy Better Than Sex mascara you may like this one, however I feel like this formula dries up quicker than Better Than Sex does. If you are looking for a cruelty free, vegan mascara from Tarte I would much rather suggest the incredible Lights, Cameras, Lashes.
