Since the Ordinary brand is so popular, I'm bringing you a review on another popular item, the Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. This toner has a pH of 3.5-3.7. It is alcohol free, oil free, silicone free, nut free, vegan, gluten free, and cruelty free. Glycolic acid is a type of AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that helps to gently exfoliate skin. This toner contains tasmanian pepperberries to help reduce irritation along with ginseng and aloe vera to soothe the skin. The Ordinary says to avoid this product if your skin is peeling or very sensitive as the AHA is strong. The Ordinary says to use this product no more than once a day, after cleansing the skin, ideally at night time. Saturate the cotton pad with product and gently sweep it across clean skin on the neck and face area. Don't wipe the product off if there is excess, just let it dry on its own and let it do the work. Try and avoid the eye area as well. This product is great for all skin types; especially those with oily or clogged skin as the glycolic acid helps to clear out the pores. I have been using this product everyday for a little over a month now. My skin honestly looks about the same. My pores haven't shrunk or gotten bigger, my acne is still prevalent, and my face doesn't appear any brighter. I do really love the ingredients in this product (especially that it's alcohol free). But, I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. I'm going to continue to use it since I'm about halfway done with it. But, I don't think I will be re-purchasing this. I don't hate this product, but I don't love it either. If you want to see dramatic results from your toner, I recommend paying $10 more for the Pixi Glow Tonic.
