This was one product I had yet to see hit the market... an illuminating setting powder. Usually most powders are matte to help seal makeup in place and to soak up excess oils. I wondered if adding shimmer to a classic powder product would help or hurt those factors. To begin on a positive note, the packaging on this is just adorable. I think Too Faced has always done a beautiful job on marketing and packaging, especially with this collection. This setting powder comes in 3 shades; pearl, radiant nude, and radiant caramel. Similar to the other products in the Dew You collection it is cucumber and watermelon scented. Too Faced explains that they created this unique product to help skin look more alive and radiant. The powder is very very finely milled which makes it good, but the way the packaging is set up it's nearly impossible to get the right amount on a brush or sponge. You take the cap off then you open up a pink sealed topper to reveal a mesh netting that you have to shake the powder around in until you get the right amount. I found this to be very difficult and not consumer friendly. Besides the difficult packaging, this product simply did not work. It immediately broke up my foundation. I felt like my makeup was not settled in place and kept moving around when wearing this. It also is way too bright to be used all over the face. I looked like I had brushed a pink highlighter all over my face. To bake under the eyes this product is not ideal, however, if you gently powder your T-zone, it may work better for you. My coworker doesn't bake her makeup in and she says she loves this product so it may also be application techniques and how much foundation you typically wear underneath. Overall, I would not recommend this powder. There are so many other amazing ones, even from Too Faced, it's not worth it to waste the money.
