Personally, I’ve never been the biggest fan of Too Faced. First, because I think their products are too overpriced for what you get. Specifically, their shadows have always felt a bit too dusty and they’re anywhere from $30-$70 dollars. If a palette is that expensive, it needs to work well. Second, I don’t totally get their target audience. Maybe this is my marketing side coming out, but I don’t get who this brand is for. The packaging seems like it’s for teen girls. Yet, the names of the product are VERY sexual. I won’t go into more detail than that, but definitely not something the average mom would let their kid buy. Last, they have a history of treating influencers/collaborators poorly. Nikkie Tutorials did a collaboration with Too Faced in 2016. Too Faced was extremely shady and unclear about how much Nikkie would earn. They sold $8 million worth of the palette, yet Nikkie only walked away with a mere $40k. With something selling at that high of a volume, she should’ve made wayyyy more that what she did. All of that being said, they’re not my first choice when it comes to makeup. However, as of lately, the brand seems to be stepping up their game. Within the past few months they’ve launched a series of new products like their Lady Bold lipsticks, kohl eyeliners, brow products, and even a perfume! All of which, are extremely high quality. I’m not sure if there is someone new in charge or if they are simply using a different lab to create product, but they have been killing it lately. Now, you all know I never review brow products. That reason being is I only use 1 product. The same product since I was about 16 years old, the iconic ABH brow pomade. It just works for my thick brows and allows me to create the shape I like. But, after playing with Too Faced’s new brow products, I thought it was about time to give something else a try. The brow launch included 3 all new products; Brow Wig (eyebrow gel), Pomade in a Pencil (triangular tipped brow pencil), and the Super Fine Brow Detailer (micro tip brow pencil). I decided to try the Super Fine pencil. Having thick eyebrows, it’s dang near impossible for me to find a fine tip pencil that can handle my brows. This skinny pencil comes in 8 shades ranging from natural blonde, auburn, and even soft black. There is ideally a color for everyone. The tone of this product is very neutral. The warm shades aren't too red and the cool shades aren't too blue. Since this product appears so neutral, it helps the brows to look much more natural. Along with the perfect tones, the consistency of the pencil is spot on. The hardest part to master when making a brow product is the consistency. It cannot be too waxy otherwise it’ll slide off and look unnatural. And it cannot be too hard because no product will come off. This pencil feels just like the ABH brow pomade I love but it’s in a more convenient pencil. It’s perfect for on the go because it’s so slim it can fit anywhere! It is also dual ended so that you have a spoolie attached to quickly brush out the brow hairs. Another thing I love about this pencil is its staying power. I don’t even have to set my brows with a clear gel to keep them on and in place. The pencil does all the hard work for you. I’m amazed by this product and I’m even more amazed that Too Faced launched it. Whether you have tiny, thin eyebrows to big and bushy, this is the PERFECT brow product for you! I highly recommend this item. I hope Too Faced continues the good work because this is a game changer.
