What really drew me to this product was the brand. Trilogy is a certified clean, organic, natural, and cruelty free skincare brand based out of New Zealand. Trilogy uses pure plant oils, natural extracts, and botanical complexes to create natural skincare products designed for every skin type. Trilogy is against animal testing, they are non-GMO, and they support ethical trades and practices. Not to mention, the brand has won over 300 major beauty award for their products. Their values and mission was so moving that I decided to try some of their skincare products. Since beginning the brand in 2002, Trilogy has become famous for their rose hip oil. Rose hip oil is your do it all skincare product. It helps to hydrate and reduce the appearance of stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles. This cold pressed organic rose hip oil is packed with 80% fatty acids, proven to improve skins barrier. This oil is safe for all ages and all skin types. I love a good facial oil, especially in the winter time when I need some deep hydration. My coworker RAVED about this facial oil so I decided to give it a try, but I honestly wasn't as impressed. To start, the scent is a bit strong. I think this is because the product is organic and clean these are natural fragrances, but it honestly smells like mulch to me. After weeks of rigorous use, I saw little to no difference in my skin. I did feel more hydrated, but skin still had fine lines that the product promises to diminish. I really saw no differences with this facial oil versus others I have used and loved (except the ingredients). I think for the price, this product is a bit overrated. I prefer the Pixi Rose Oil much better. It has clean ingredients, it is cruelty free, and is about $10 cheaper.
