If we've seen anything the past year, it's that influencers and celebrities are coming out with new beauty lines everyday. Lady Gaga, JLO, Victoria Beckham, Selena Gomez, and even Pharrell have all gotten into the industry. Funny, outspoken Youtube personality Emma Chamberlin has done something similar with Bad Habit beauty. Unlike other celebs, Emma does not actually own Bad Habit, but she is the brand's creative director, global ambassador, and face of the company. Bad Habit is skincare that is designed to "reset" skin. They do this by utilizing sensory textures and fragrances that can awaken, recharge, and calm the skin. They are also a clean beauty brand which means their products are made without : parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, formaldehydes, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, and more. I've always been intrigued by this brand (probably the fun, unique packaging). But, I'd never really heard anyone talk about it. Which, I kind of appreciated because that allowed me to form my opinions without having to worry about what other people think of the line. I received Bad Habit's Wake Things Up Daily Matcha & Mint cleanser. At first, I was a bit unsure if I'd even like this product because I usually hate all things matcha and mint. But, the two main ingredients went together so so beautifully to create an invigorating experience just by simply washing your face. Matcha helps to rid skin of impurities as well as give it an antioxidant boost while mint helps to awaken the skin and senses. They also splashed in some aloe vera extract to maintain skins natural moisture after cleansing. When I first tried this product, I was a little nervous after application because my skin began to tingle. I thought I was having a bad reaction to it, but it was just the mint leaving a cooling effect on my skin. After using this for a couple months now, I notice a big difference in my skin and my mood. My pores are smaller, my skin feels tighter, and even looks brighter. This is the perfect way to start your morning (especially if you're not a morning person) and detoxify your skin from all the bad choices you may have made the night before.
