There are a few things in the beauty world that you don't need to spend a lot of money on and can get the same results as high end products. In my opinion, stuff like mascara, lip stick, and dry shampoo perform just as well and for much less. I've tried several name brand dry shampoos and keep going back to Batiste because not only is it cheap but it works really well. A few weeks ago, we had an extra employee discount on all Morrocanoil hair products. I was in desperate need of dry shampoo that day and didn't have time to run to Target to get my Batiste, so I splurged and decided to try something new. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be anything special. But, I think this may truly be one of the best dry shampoos on the market. To start, the price is actually less expensive than most prestige hair products. For example, the award winning Living Proof dry shampoo is a whopping $30 for about the same amount of product. Although it's volumizing, Living proof left a gnarly white cast in my hair. But, Morrocanoil delivered all the volume with none of the white cast. They have two types of their dry shampoo; light tones which has a transparent color and dark tones which has a brownish color so that everyone can use their product without worrying about white-cast. Probably my favorite thing about this item is how it leaves my hair looking. I never have to worry about having that crunchy texture because this product gives me that silky smooth blowout look. It literally looks like you've been at a salon all day. This is all thanks to their key ingredient argan oil. Argan oil is used in every single Morrocanoil product because of it's incredible nourishing qualities for both skin and body. I think that's what makes this product stand out. Every dry shampoo talks about "mattifying" and "texturizing" but sometimes it can actually be too much on your hair. Hair, like the rest of our body, needs nourishment! They put the perfect amount of oil in this product to give shine without creating a greasy look. The Morrocanoil scent (which is infused in all their products) also keeps hair smelling fresh even after a week without washing. Overall, I was blown away with how well this worked and how GOOD my hair looked. I will definitely be splurging and buying this one again!

If you didn't already know, Rare Beauty is one of the top selling brands at Sephora, their blushes alone grossed around $70 million last year. That's pretty major for any cosmetic company, especially since they've only been in business since 2019. Although the cruelty free products are high quality at a fair price, people aren't just impressed by their performance. Founder, Selena Gomez, has helped consumers feel beautiful inside and out. Selena has used her platform (and Rare Beauty) to help end a stigma around mental health and provides services to those in underserved communities. In fact, 1% of all annual sales goes directly to the Rare Impact foundation. Pretty amazing, right? Upon opening, we learned that the liquid blush would be a top seller and most likely go out of stock quickly. And it sure did. After seeing how excited people were over this product, I wanted to try it for myself. The liquid blushes come in both matte and radiant finish as well as a variety of shades. I got the shade "Joy" which is fun, bright coral tone. I absolutely love packaging of this product. It's so artistic but the top is actually very user friendly when applying the product. I had heard this product was pigmented and to go in with a light hand so I used half a dot on both cheeks. I quickly blended it out and I'm not lying when I say the SMALLEST amount of product literally covered my entire cheeks as well as my temples. Once it dried, there was no moving it. I tried to blend it out more and even added another layer of foundation but that barely helped. I looked like a literal clown. A couple days later, I tried to use this product again and the same thing happened. I appreciate the amount of color it gives, but this was just too much. I really wanted to love this blush, but it just wasn't worth all the work. I'm not saying this is a bad product, it just didn't seem to work for me. However, I can't wait to try more things from the line to see how well they perform!

Oh, I wish I had good things to say about this product. But, I’m not exaggerating when I say this may be the WORST skincare item I’ve ever tried. As part of our initial training, we received multiple Sephora Collection items to try. A lot of which I actually enjoyed! They offer high quality products at reasonable prices which is what makes the line so popular among shoppers. But this product was beyond disappointing. To start off, it smells so strange. The only scent that closely describes it is the smell of paint thinner. It does claim to be “fragrance free” so I’m not quite sure which ingredient is making it smell so weird…The formula however is quite nice. It’s nothing spectacular, but it is a lightweight creamy texture. However, after about 15 minutes the moisturizer starts to peel/ball up. At night, this isn’t that big of a deal. But, if you tried to wear this as a base under your foundation, it would move and peel any makeup you lay on top of it. No matter how well you set it. To have a good moisturizer, it HAS to work well with other products, especially makeup. I thought I was just being a beauty snob by hating this product, but then I read the reviews. Several people agreed this product destroyed their skin. Hundreds of pictures showed girls with rashes and horrible breakouts, all linked back to this moisturizer. There isn’t much else to say except, DO NOT BUY THIS. I feel the need to be brutally honest here to help protect you all from having a negative reaction from this product. If you are looking for a drugstore moisturizer that is inexpensive but works, Cerave or La Roche Posay are both affordable and much better options than this.
